Birth
Keeper
Choosing a birth keeper that you resonate with to help make the most of your journey into Motherhood and beyond is your first step to empowerment. In this fast-paced world we live in, our time together is important for you to prepare for this special & sacred period in your life. It’s an opportunity to learn about the physiology of birth and your changing body. Comparing the difference between what a medical birth may involve and a spontaneous, non medical birth and all the other considerations in-between that may arise. We discuss all your options regarding pain relief, different positions for birthing, the role of the birth partner and your support team, plus different breathing practices, relaxations, the role of hormones and the importance of movement, coming from my yoga training knowledge. Your rights as a human will be talked through so you can advocate for yourself as well as having my full support here.
I am on call for you from 38 weeks and as soon as your labour starts and you let me know, I’ll be with you every step of the way, whether that’s in your home or in the hospital setting. I will stay with you until baby is born and you feel ready for me to leave you be. My role is to be your voice if you are not being heard, offer a friendly, positive face to keep you calm and present in labour, hold your hand, rub your back, offer you drinks, remind you of your amazingness and to know your birth plan so I can advocate this to others. If plans need to change, then I am there with you every step of the way. I will protect your golden hour, and help you with feeding advice if you need it. I can also just be there chilling in the corner of the room holding space for you.
I will visit you after the birth and help with chores plus any holistic, emotional & physical support. I offer home-cooked food, massage and gentle internal healing yogic practices as part of my packages.
I have an ever growing directory of other professionals to support and signpost you if you need advice.
“My packages below are named after trees which fill me with warmth whenever I see them. Their beautiful blossom is a reminder that we all bloom at different times in our lives and as long as we sit and notice these moments of reverence in our hearts, we can too find an energy that ripples out from us like the tree.”
